Oppo recently launched its Reno2 series of smartphones in India that consists of the Reno2, Reno2 Z and the Reno2 F. Out of the three, the standard Oppo Reno2 is going on sale today via Flipkart and Amazon. The upper mid-range smartphone goes up against the likes of OnePlus 7, Asus Zenfone 6Z, Google Pixel 3a and others handsets that are priced in the same range. The Oppo Reno2 succeeds the Oppo Reno that was launched last year and its highlighted features include an angled pop-up front camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor and a quad-camera setup on the back that is capable of delivering 20x digital zoom.
The Oppo Reno2 comes equipped with a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display that sports a 1080 x 2400p resolution and is protected by Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor, which is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The handset runs on ColorOS 6.1 that is based on Android 9.0 and is backed by a 4000mAh battery that supports VOOC Flash Charge 3.0.
Coming to the optics, the device is equipped with a quad rear-camera setup. The main sensor here is a 48MP Sony IMX586, which is supplemented by a 12MP telephoto camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP monochrome lens. On the front is a 16MP camera that is housed in an angled pop-up camera.
Oppo Reno2 comes in only one configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage in India and is priced at Rs 36,990. It is now available for sale via Amazon and Flipkart in Ocean Blue and Luminous Black colour models.
