About Intel Core 3 series processors
The new Core Series 3 lineup is built on the same foundation as Intel’s higher-end Core Ultra Series 3 chips, which are based on the Intel 18A process node. Thus, the chipset brings a more advanced manufacturing process to a segment that usually runs on older, repurposed silicon. In simpler words, these chips are designed to feel modern where it counts.
From a usage standpoint, Intel says that it is focusing on three main points – performance, battery life, and AI readiness. The company is also claiming up to 47% better single-thread performance and up to 41% gains in multi-thread workloads compared to a typical five-year-old PC. In addition to this, the platform is also offering up to 40 TOPS of AI performance.
That’s not all. Intel also says that it has focused on the battery life aspect as well. The company says that the chips are designed for all-day usage, while also improving efficiency. Coming to connectivity upgrades, the new processors support features like Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.
Partners and availability
Now coming to, where will we get to experience these new processors? The list is quite long. Brands like Acer, ASUS, HP, Lenovo, and MSI are expected to roll out systems across different price points and form factors. Devices like the Aspire Go series, Vivobooks, and IdeaPads will be among the first to feature these chips. Moreover, Intel also says over 70 designs are already in the pipeline, which suggests we are going to see these processors across a wide range of laptops over the next few months.
Coming to availability, the first set of consumer and commercial systems have already launched from April 16, 2026. More devices, including edge-focused systems, are expected to follow through the second quarter of the year.
