Apple has confirmed that it will be live streaming the keynote for its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). It’s the company’s first major event for the year and is scheduled to start from June 5, 10:00 am PT (10:30 pm IST).
As always, you’re going to need either an Apple product or a Windows 10 PC to watch the keynote since it uses the company’s HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology. This technology requires an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with Safari on at least iOS 7.0. Mac users will need Safari 6.0.5 at the least or OS X v10.8.5 or later. PC users can watch the event on Windows 10 devices via the Microsoft Edge browser. The keynote will also be streamed to the 4th generation Apple TV, while those with 2nd or 3rd generation Apple TVs will need software 6.2.
While Apple doesn’t usually announce much hardware at the event, we might see a change this year. The company is tipped to unveil its ‘Siri Speaker’ to take on the likes of other smart speakers like the Amazon Echo and Google Home. Besides this, the might also choose to unveiled a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro and refresh its entire lineup of Macbooks. Amazon is also expected to finally bring its Prime Video app to Apple TVs.
