After intermittently sharing the features and specifications of the phone over the past few weeks, Lenovo has finally launched the Lenovo Z6 in China. The phone essentially sits in between the previously launched Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition and the Lenovo Z6 Pro smartphones. The handset has been launched in three variants with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB storage. It will be available at a starting price of CNY 1,899 (approx Rs 19,000) and going up to CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 25,000).
The Lenovo Z6 features a 3D glass rear and series-6000 aluminum frame. It sports a Full HD+ 6.39-inch OLED panel with a waterdrop notch. It features a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and support for 600 nits brightness. It delivers an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and screen-to-body ratio of 93.1 percent. Chang Cheng, Vice President of Lenovo Group, had already revealed that the phone would come with HDR10+ support, DCI-P3 color gamut and 120Hz refresh rate. Further, the phone features the sixth-generation in-display fingerprint sensor.
The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor, which lies somewhere between the Snapdragon 710 that powers the Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition, and the flagship Snapdragon 855 that fuels the Lenovo Z6 Pro. As mentioned, the phone features 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128 GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card. The phone runs on the ZUI11 skin which is baked on top of the Android 9 Pie OS.
When it comes to cameras, the Lenovo Z6 is equipped with a vertically aligned triple camera setup and an LED flash. The primary sensor features a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor that has 1.8micron pixel size, and it is complemented by a lens with f/1.8 aperture. Along comes an 8MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and 8x hybrid zoom, and a 5MP depth sensing sensor. The notch houses a 16MP snapper.
The Lenovo Z6 draws juice from 4000mAh battery that supports 15W charging through USB-C. Lenovo claims that the battery delivers up to 26 hours of talk time, 395 hours of standby time, 7.6 hours of online gaming and 26 hours of continuous video playback. The Lenovo Z6 comes in three variants: 6GB RAM + 64GB storage which priced at CNY 1,899 (approx Rs 19,000), 6GB RAM + 128GB storage that will cost users CNY 2,099 (approx Rs 21,000) and the top of line variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage can be purchased for CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 25,000).
