Samsung has officially introduced the much-anticipated One UI 8.5 beta for select users. The new update brings a series of upgrades, specifically aimed to improve the content creation, device connectivity and overall security across Galaxy devices. The new update also brings enhanced photo-editing tools, smarter sharing features and more. The One UI 8.5 beta is currently available for Galaxy S25 series users in select markets, including India, Germany, South Korea, Poland, the UK and the US. Samsung One UI 8.5 update release timeline

The Samsung One UI 8.5 update is said to debut along with the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. As per the reports, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series may debut on February 25, 2026. However, the brand has not confirmed the details at the moment. After its debut, it will be gradually rolled out to the previous generation Galaxy devices, expected to occur between April and June 2026.

Samsung One UI 8.5 features

The new One UI 8.5 beta has brought new features, including Photo Assist, which users can now use to edit images. The Quick Share has also got some big updates. It also brings a new Audio Broadcast feature that lets users communicate with nearby Auracast-supported devices. The One UI 8.5 also comes with enhanced security and Theft Protection, along with a new Failed Authentication Lock.
