The next seasonal update for Call of Duty: Mobile is just around the corner and Activision has officially revealed what players can expect from the update. Called Shadows Return, the update will go live from November 18, 5:30am IST. As always, players can expect major changes such as new maps, optimisations and more.
The Season 10 Battle Pass will add a number of new items to the list for both, the premium and free items. This will include new operators, weapons, blueprints, calling cards, charms, and more.
Players can also look forward to earning a new Scorestreak and a new weapon. At Tier 14, players will unlock the Orbital Cannon. At Tier 21, players will get the SVD Sniper Rifle. Other free items include the M16 – Paranoid, Charm – Gilded Marksman, Calling Card – Five Finger Fillet, and more.
Premium users can look forward to the new Operator characters such as Stansfield, Alice and Templar. Players can also unlock weapon Blueprints for the LK24 assault rifle, SVD Sniper Rifle, PP19 Bizon, and AS VAL.
The Call of Duty: Mobile Season 10 Shadows Return update will include a new multiplayer map. This time, players will get the Vacant map. This map was first introduced in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot and is set around an abandoned office building. Players can expect close-quarters combat, but there will be areas that will suit long range weapons.
There is also a new MVP Replay system that players can check out at the end of the match. This will showcase the player’s best eliminations at the end of the match.
The update will also include a new Multiplayer mode called Control. This will see players attacking or defending two designated points on a map till teams run out of respawns. The attackers are tasked with capturing both points before the end of the time limit to win the round, while the defenders need to prevent that. Teams will switch between rounds and the first team to reach the round limit wins.
In terms of multiplayer optimisations, players can expect changes in Hackney Yard and Hovec Sawmill. In Nuketown, bullet penetration has been slightly adjusted to inflict additional damage. The Tempest Operator Skill will now inflict damage when it hits a wall or the ground close to the enemy. Further, the UAV scorestreak will now display red dots of enemies in sync with the scanning effects. The developers have also fixed a freezing issue with the Gung-Ho perk, while the Operator Loadout interface is also optimized.
The themed event for this season is called Search for Stansfield and will see players earn points by playing Multiplayer and Battle Royale matches to earn points. These points can be used to progress through the event. Seasonal challenges will give players the chance to earn the new CBR4 SMG, an Epic weapon blueprint for the M13 assault rifle, and more
