The OnePlus 8T launch will also see the company introduce a pair of new IP55-rated TWS earbuds, OnePlus has confirmed. These new truly wireless earbuds could be called OnePlus Buds Z, according to several rumours online. The name Buds Z was also spotted in the OxygenOS 11 beta build by folks over at XDA, hinting at the existence of the new and affordable wireless earbuds.

OnePlus is expected to launch multiple products on October 14 alongside the OnePlus 8T and one such product is rumoured to be the OnePlus Buds Z. As is the tradition, OnePlus usually associates the “Z” suffix with its affordable products as we saw with the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z that was launched alongside the OnePlus 8 series. The OnePlus Buds debuted alongside the OnePlus Nord back in July at Rs 4,990 and the company could be looking to offer affordable earbuds now.

Previously, OnePlus posted a picture of the silicone ear tip, teasing the imminent launch of a new earphone. In a subsequent tweet posted on October 3, the company confirmed that it is planning to launch a new IP55-rated Buds on October 14. Interestingly, the OnePlus Buds are IPX4 rated, meaning it is protected against splashes of water but isn’t waterproof and dustproof. With the IP55 rating, the upcoming Buds offer protection against dust and water from all sides.

The OnePlus 8T is all set to launch on October 14 in India and several key features have already been confirmed by the company, such as the support for the new Warp Charge 65 fast-charging standard. Let’s take a look at the leaked specifications of the OnePlus 8T.
