Xiaomi Mi TV 4, Mi TV 4A flash sale today on Flipkart and Mi.com at 12PM
HIGHLIGHTS

The flash sale for the three TVs kicks off at 12 noon. The TVs are available in 32-inch HD Ready, 43-inch Full HD and 44-inch 4K HDR variants

If you are interested in picking up a Mi TV then you will have to keep your trigger hungry finger on the mouse ready. The TVs go on sale at 12 noon on Flipkart and the companies own website. Expect the stocks to be limited as this is a flash sale, and not to be mistaken with an open sale. All the TVs run on Xiaomi’s PatchWall OS which runs on a forked version of Android.

Talking about the Mi TV4, the TV has a 10-bit VA panel that’s made by Samsung and supports 4K HDR at 60Hz. It has 3 HDMI ports, and 2 USB ports. In our review of the Mi TV4 we said that with the Mi TV 4, “You get a 10-bit panel that can produce content in 4K and HDR quite well and we think that’s what matters most when you buy a TV. Also, the TV does 4K HDR at 60Hz. If you aren’t happy with the OS, you can always plug in a Chromecast or Fire TV stick or any other box you like. The speakers aren’t the best to enjoy a movie, but then again TV speakers hardly ever are and you should invest in a soundbar if audio quality is what you are after. We wish the TV had better audio connection options like 3.5mm and RCA. The only qualm with the TV panel is that it is reflective, and the black levels could have been better. If you are finicky about getting the perfect picture output, then you will spend a lot of time calibrating the TV as there isn’t a “one preset fits all” option. But yes, if you are looking to pick up a 4K TV on a budget of 40k, you can’t go wrong with the Mi TV. Good luck fighting for it online during the flash sales though.”

The 32-inch and 43-inch models of the series are priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 22,999 respectively. Both variants of the Mi LED Smart TV 4A have a lot in common except for the obvious difference in screen size, and a couple of features. The 43-inch variant of the 4A is a full HD TV, whereas the 32-inch model can play HD ready (720p) videos. The Mi LED Smart TV 4A series comes with 1GB RAM and is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Amlogic processor with 8GB of on-board storage. They feature 20 Watts stereo speakers (10W x 2) and support DTS sound.

In terms of connectivity, both the variants support ethernet, earphone out, Wi-Fi, and AV port. The bigger variant features 3 USB, 3 HDMI and an S/PDIF port, whereas the 32-inch model sports only 2 USB ports with 3 HDMI ports. Running on Patchwall OS, the TV features content from 15 Indian languages, supports universal search and infinite scrolling as well. There is also the Mi Remote which features a minimalistic design with 11 buttons.Click here to buy.
