Samsung reportedly brings Art Store to OLED TVs for the first time: Why it matters

Samsung is expanding its Art Store service to OLED TVs for the first time in 2026, ending years of exclusivity to its lifestyle-focused Frame series. This appears to be for select markets currently, as reported by FlatPanelsHD. Art Store will bring access to over 5,000 digitised artworks to select flagship OLED models. And this move signals a shift in how the company positions OLED TVs beyond pure picture quality. Here are the details:

Samsung OLED Art TVs

Starting in 2026, Samsung’s 2026 flagship OLED models, the S95H and S99H, will support the Art Store. These TVs will be available globally, with the S95H sold in the US and the S99H sold in Europe. There is no information for the Indian market currently. We contacted Samsung India, but the brand declined to comment.

As per FlatPanelsHD, the Art Store subscription costs $5 (~Rs 450) per month and includes a growing library of classic paintings, modern art, and digital works. Notable pieces include famous museum artworks and works attributed to masters such as Leonardo da Vinci.

More affordable OLED ranges, including the S90H and S85H, will not receive Art Store access at launch, as they use older panel technology.

How it works on OLED TVs

S95H and S99H users will get full Art Store access. But, there won’t be motion-based auto art mode on or off. So, the focus is still on picture quality, and art will feel like an additional feature. And in that sense, The Frame series still offers the most complete art-first experience.

The S95H and S99H will feature a metal frame around the display, similar to The Frame’s design language. This metal frame is replaceable, but only one design option is planned initially. Samsung notes that the finish shown at CES may not reflect the final retail version.

Why this matters for buyers

For years, the Art Store has been a defining feature of Samsung’s Frame TVs, which are designed to blend into living spaces by displaying art when idle. By bringing the service to OLED, Samsung is repositioning OLED TVs as lifestyle products, not just high-performance displays for movies and gaming. So, this move could matter to buyers or users who want a premium OLED that also doubles as a digital art display and don’t want to invest in a Frame TV separately. The Art Store becomes another reason to stay within Samsung’s ecosystem.

This also reflects Samsung’s increased confidence in OLED durability. Art Store images can remain on screen for long periods, something that previously raised concerns around burn-in. Extending the service to OLED suggests Samsung believes modern OLED panels are now robust enough for this kind of use without long-term risk.

So, nearly all premium Samsung TVs now support the same content ecosystem.

In related news, LG evo W6 wallpaper TV was announced at CES 2026 with a similar curated art platform.
