Today is the second flash sale of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and the Note 5 Pro. The smartphones will be available for purchase starting 12 PM from Flipkart and Mi.com, and will be available offline from Mi Homes as well. Both smartphones come with a taller 18:9 display aspect ratio and will be available in Black, Gold, Lake Blue and Rose Gold colour models.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Note 5 Pro launch offers and price:
As launch offers, buyers will get a free ultra-slim case with both the smartphones. Additionally, users can also avail the Jio #GiveMe5 Offer on both the Redmi Note 5 and the Note 5 Pro smartphones. A Jio Prime subscribers can receive a Rs 2,200 instant cashback by activating the newly purchased smartphone by performing a recharge of Rs 198 or Rs 299. The cashback will be credited in the user’s MyJio account in the form of 44 vouchers (each worth Rs 50). These vouchers can only be redeemed only when recharging with Rs 198 or Rs 299 prepaid plans, one at a time and only via the MyJio app.
Alongside the cashback, Jio users can also avail a double data offer after activating the smartphones. When they recharge for the next three times with plans priced at Rs 198 and above, they will receive one double data voucher. The first five lakh Mi and Redmi device users will also get a three-month free subscription of Hungama Music.

In terms of specifications, the Redmi Note 5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC and comes with a 5.99-inch full-HD+ screen with an 18:9 display aspect ratio. It sports a single 12MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture lens and an LED flash and is equipped with a 5MP sensor on the front, which is capable of recording Full HD videos and comes with an LED flash.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro is an upgraded variant of the Note 5. It is the first smartphone in India to launch running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 platform. It features a 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 display with 2160x1080p resolution. It sports a dual 12MP + 5MP rear cameras with f/2.2 aperture lens and f/2.0 aperture lens respectively and on the front, it comes with a 20MP sensor with Selfie-light and Beautify 4.0 feature.
Both smartphones sport a fingerprint scanner on the rear and run on MIUI 9 atop Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. They are powered by a 4000mAh battery, which as we noted during the review, helps the smartphones run well over a day.
