OnePlus N6 launch date confirmed: Expected price, design and everything we know
OnePlus has officially confirmed the N6 will launch in India on 30 June
The phone will be priced in the Rs 18,000–25,000 range
The first official image reveals a triple rear camera system, flat frames, two colour options and no Alert Slider
OnePlus has officially confirmed what leaks and teasers had pointed toward over the past week. The company’s first N series smartphone for India is called the OnePlus N6 and it will launch on 30 June at 12PM IST and will go on sale on Amazon India. The phone will be priced in the Rs 18,000–25,000 segment. OnePlus is no stranger to this price band, the Nord CE 2 Lite, CE 3 Lite and CE4 Lite were all launched at Rs 19,999 in successive years from 2022 to 2024. What is different this time is that the N6 arrives under an entirely new series rather than the Nord CE Lite line, with OnePlus now formally treating it as a distinct pillar of its India portfolio alongside Nord and its flagship range.
SurveyOnePlus N6 design revealed
The first official OnePlus N6 image confirms several key design details. The phone features a rectangular rear camera island housing three lenses, a flat-frame design and the OnePlus logo centred on the back panel. Two colour options are visible in the image: a deep forest green and a mint or light green, both with matching frames. There is no Alert Slider visible, consistent with the cost-down approach OnePlus has taken on its more affordable devices.

What the ‘N’ in N series stands for
OnePlus has now officially explained the naming. According to the company, N stands for New, Neo and Never Off. Ford, Vice-President of OnePlus India, described the series as built for a generation that uses smartphones as their primary screen for entertainment, gaming, content creation and staying connected. “The N Series brings core OnePlus experiences: long-lasting battery, smooth performance, and thoughtful design, to a much broader audience in India,” he said.
The N6 launch marks a formal restructuring of OnePlus’s India portfolio into three tiers. The N series will sit at Rs 18,000–25,000 and target younger, budget-conscious buyers. The Nord series will continue to occupy the Rs 25,000–50,000 mid-range. The flagship series, including the OnePlus 15 and beyond, remains at Rs 50,000 and above.
Currently, the most affordable OnePlus phone in India is the Nord CE6 Lite at Rs 22,999, launched in May 2026. If the N6 lands below that, it would slot in as the most accessible OnePlus device available right now, continuing a tradition the CE Lite line established over the past few years at Rs 19,999.
What we still do not know
OnePlus has not confirmed any specifications for the N6. No chipset, RAM, storage, camera details, display specs or battery capacity have been officially revealed. The company says more details will be shared in the coming weeks, given the launch is on 30 June.
Earlier speculation pointed to the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 as a possible chipset, in line with what competitors offer in this price segment, but nothing has been confirmed.
