Redmi K40 series to feature smallest punch-hole cutout

Xiaomi Redmi K40 series is confirmed to launch on February 25 in China. The Redmi K40 will likely be accompanied by the much-rumoured Redmi K40 Pro and K40S. Redmi executives had been teasing the launch of the K40 series from quite some time now with its key features leaked previously.

As per a post on Weibo by Redmi VP Lu Weibing, the Redmi K40 series will launch on February 25 with a new design and experience. The poster released on Weibo does not reveal the phone but gives us a peek at the retail box of the phone. Weibing has previously confirmed that the Snapdragon 888-powered Redmi K40 Pro will start at CNY 2,999, making it one of the most affordable phones to be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship processor.

Previous leaks have hinted that the standard Redmi K40 could feature an LCD screen and large capacity battery. The standard Redmi K40 is expected to have 64MP primary camera while the Redmi K40 Pro could be headlined by a 108MP camera system.

The company has also revealed that the Redmi K40 series will feature the smallest punch-hole notch cutout for the selfie camera. Also confirmed is the presence of stereo speakers and likely a Full HD+ display with high refresh rate support.

Recently, a popular tipster posted on Weibo revealing the Redmi K40 lineup will have three phones, the standard Redmi K40, K40 Pro and K40S. Details about the purported Redmi K40S are currently unknown but we should know more about the Redmi K40 series as we near the launch date which is scheduled for February 25.
