Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus now available for purchase in India: Price, launch offers, specifications
The Nokia 8 Sirocco is available via Flipkart, whereas the Nokia 7 Plus is on sale via Amazon India. Both the devices can also be bought from the Nokia Mobile Shop online and the company is also offering some enticing launch offers on the handsets.
The Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 7 Plus (review) smartphones by HMD Global are now on sale in India. The two smartphones were initially unveiled at the MWC 2018 and announced in India earlier this month. Nokia’s current flagship smartphone, the Nokia 8 Sirocco comes in a Black colour variant and is priced at Rs 49,999 on Flipkart, whereas the Nokia 7 Plus is available in White Copper and Black Copper colour models costs 25,999 and is up for sale on Amazon. Both the smartphones can also be purchased from the Nokia Mobile Shop and offline via select retail outlets like Croma, Poorvika, Sangeetha, Big C, and Reliance. The two phones are a part of the Android One program and run on stock Android with promised regular updates. They also retain the 3.5mm audio jack.
Launch offers on the Nokia 8 Sirocco and the Nokia 7 Plus
On both the Nokia 8 Sirocco and the Nokia 7 Plus, ICICI credit and debit card customers can avail a 10 percent cashback for a limited period and Airtel users will also get a free subscription to the Airtel TV app till December 31, 2018. There is also a 25 percent instant discount on domestic hotels bookings via MakeMyTrip on both the smartphones.
While recharging with Rs 199 or Rs 349 prepaid packs, Airtel users will get an additional 20GB data on the first 6 recharges with the Nokia 8 Sirocco. Airtel postpaid subscribers can also get extra 20GB data per month for 6 months if they are on the Rs 399 Rs 499 plan. Nokia 8 Sirocco buyers can also avail extra Rs 3,000 off over regular exchange, along with 25 percent instant discount on domestic hotel bookings at MakeMyTrip.
Nokia 7 buyers will also be eligible for a complimentary 12-month accidental damage Insurance by Servify on opening and activating a Kotak 811 savings account. For Airtel subscribers purchasing the smartphone, the company is offering a Rs 2,000 cashback, thus lowering the smartphone’s effective price to Rs 23,999. The device will be available at zero cost EMI on credit cards and through Bajaj FinServ and Home Credit.
Nokia 8 Sirocco specifications
The Nokia 8 Sirocco features a dual-glass design and it is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, which covers 95 percent of the phone. It is made using a stainless frame and sports a 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560) pOLED display. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and is powered by a 3260mAh battery, which can also be wirelessly charged.
In terms of optics, the Nokia 8 Sirocco is equipped with dual-rear cameras with a 12MP wide-angle and a 13MP telephoto lens. The rear cameras are also come with a dual-tone LED flash and Zeiss optics. On the front, it features a 5MP fixed-focus sensor with a 1.4-micron pixel sensor and a f/2.0 aperture lens.
Nokia 7 Plus specifications
The Nokia 7 Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It features a 6-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display with a taller 18:9 aspect ratio and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo. The company recently started rolling out the 8.1 Oreo update to the device. It is backed by a 3,800mAh battery, which also supports wireless charging.
In the camera department, it features dual-rear cameras where one is a 12MP wide-angle lens with f/1.75 aperture and another one is a 13MP telephoto lens with f/2.6 aperture. On the front is a 16MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture and both the rear and front cameras are made using Zeiss lens.
