Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has posted on X (formerly Twitter) for the first time in more than three years to announce the latest artificial intelligence model, Muse Spark 1.1, along with a new API that gives developers access to the model. Taking to X, Zuckerberg described Muse Spark 1.1 as the company’s latest model that focuses on coding, software development and AI agents.

He said that the model is designed to handle complex tasks, work with external tools and process long-running workflows using a context window of up to one million tokens. According to him, the model can coordinate multiple AI agents simultaneously and interact with desktop, mobile and browser interfaces.

Along with the announcement, Meta opened a public preview of its new Meta Model API for developers in the US. The API allows the developers to integrate Muse Spark 1.1 into their own applications.

As per the company, Muse Spark 1.1 is capable of writing and debugging code, automating software workflows and processing text, images and videos. Meta says the model is designed for tasks that require minimal human intervention, making it suitable for enterprise automation and AI-powered applications.

The developers signing up for the platform will receive free credits before moving to a usage-based pricing model. Reports indicate the service is priced at $1.25 per million input tokens and $4.25 per million output tokens.

Meta is also bringing Muse Spark 1.1 to its consumer-facing AI products through a new “Thinking” mode in the Meta AI app and website. Over time, the company is expected to expand the model across its ecosystem, including WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and its AI-powered smart glasses.
