What early users liked about the iPhone Ultra

One of the biggest highlights appears to be the phone’s design. People who have tried it reportedly liked how easily it fits into a pocket despite having a much larger screen when opened.

The hinge is another area that has impressed early users. The upcoming iPhone is said to use an advanced hinge mechanism. Also, the users have liked the new iPad-like app layouts that take advantage of the larger internal display, as per Gurman.

The larger display could make the phone useful for more than regular smartphone tasks. Users can watch videos, play games, attend video calls and get work done without carrying a separate tablet.

The foldable iPhone is also expected to work well as a camera viewfinder. However, there is one major camera limitation. The phone reportedly does not have a telephoto camera. This could disappoint buyers who expect a top-end camera system from a device costing more than $2,000. Furthermore, the iPhone Ultra may use Touch ID instead of Face ID.

Apple’s late entry may still work in its favour. The iPhone’s popularity means millions of people may experience a foldable phone for the first time through Apple. This may also help companies like Samsung and Google by making foldable phones more popular.

China is expected to be important for Apple. According to the report,  more than half of the world’s foldable phones were sold in China last year.
