Hyundai Venue unveiled in India alongside global preview in New York City.
The Hyundai Venue comes with three engine and two gearbox options.
It also introduces Hyundai Blue Link, an internet-based connectivity solution.
Hyundai unveiled the much-awaited Venue subcompact SUV in India alongside the global preview of the model at the 2019 New York International Auto Show. The Hyundai Venue has been a popular name amongst auto enthusiasts of late, partly because of the numerous internet-based connectivity features it’s said to bring with it. In preparation to introduce them, Hyundai India announced Blue Link in Faridabad last week. It is an automotive connectivity solution that’s set to debut on the Hyundai Venue.

The Hyundai Venue comes with three engine options in total: a 1.0-litre Kappa T-GDI petrol motor, which churns out 120 horsepower; a 1.2-litre petrol motor, which throws out 83 horsepower; and a 1.4-litre diesel motor, which produces 90 horsepower. While the diesel engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, the two petrol motors come mated to a five-speed manual. Additionally, the 1.0-litre Kappa engine gets a seven-speed automatic DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) option.
According to Hyundai, the new Venue is built using 69-percent Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) and High Strength Steel (HSS). The bundled Blue Link solution comes with a total of thirty-three features, ten of which are India-specific. The dashboard of the car will be home to an advanced infotainment system with a large touchscreen display. Users will be able to control some of the features of the car using their voice. For example, they will be able to place calls and navigate to nearby points of interest (such as petrol stations and coffee shops) by giving voice commands.
