In the lively world of Instagram, staying on top of your messages can sometimes feel like navigating a busy marketplace. With countless messages flooding in, it’s easy to miss important ones or forget to respond. That’s where the message filtering feature comes in handy.
Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your Android device or iPhone.
Step 2: Swipe left anywhere on your feed or tap the arrow icon/ Messenger icon present at the top right corner to go to your inbox.
Step 3: On the right side of the search box, tap the Filter option.
Step 4: Tap the Unread option to see only unread messages. Tap the Unanswered option to see only messages to which you haven’t replied yet. Tap the Flagged option to see only flagged messages.
Step 5: To remove the filter, tap Clear.
It’s important to note that this feature is only available for public accounts.
In our opinion, the ability to filter messages on Instagram offers several benefits. By filtering messages based on their status (unread, unanswered or flagged), you can quickly focus on the ones that require your attention. This helps save time, especially when dealing with a large number of messages. Also, the message filtering feature enhances the overall user experience by providing an easy way to navigate and manage messages.
