Reports about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 have been circulating for months. There are also rumours about a wider version called the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide. However, Samsung has not confirmed these devices yet. Earlier leaks had revealed the possible date and location of the next Samsung Unpacked event. Now, a fresh report suggests the company may also introduce smart glasses, a new Galaxy Watch, and several foldable devices at the event. Here is everything known so far about the upcoming launch event.

According to a media report from Korea, Samsung might conduct the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in London in July 2026. Although there is a possibility that the event may be conducted on July 22, Samsung has not yet announced the same.
The timeline matches earlier leaks that hinted Samsung may stick to its usual mid-year launch schedule for foldable devices. Last year, the company unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 7 lineup in New York. This time, London could become the stage for Samsung’s next generation of premium devices.

Galaxy Unpacked 2026: What to expect
According to the leaks, Samsung may launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 in the event. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to be equipped with a large inner screen of 8 inches with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, while its outer screen may be 6.5 inches. Reports also suggest the phone could run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is tipped to come with a 6.9-inch foldable display and a 4.1-inch cover screen. It may use Samsung’s Exynos 2600 processor and include a 4,300mAh battery with 25W charging support.

Samsung may also introduce a new Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide variant with a broader design for better multitasking and media viewing. Apart from foldables, the company is expected to launch the Galaxy Watch 9 series and its first smart glasses called Galaxy Glasses. The wearable glasses are said to run on Google’s Android XR platform and may include speakers, microphones, and a camera for AI-based features.
