The Redmi Note 7 Pro could launch sometime in February. It is expected to be the first phone to feature the Snapdragon 675 processor.

After launching the Redmi Note 7 just last week, Xiaomi is now preparing to launch the Redmi Note 7 Pro. As per information coming in from Weibo (via GSMArena), the Redmi Note 7 Pro is expected to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor which was announced back in October. With this, the Redmi Note 7 Pro is slated to become the first phone to feature the Snapdragon 675 chipset which is touted to beat the beats Snapdragon 670 and 710 in performance.

Previously, Xiaomi Global VP and Managing Director India, Manu Kumar Jain, had revealed that the company will be launching a smartphone running on the Snapdragon 675 SoC. Hence, these rumours floating on social media could be true.
The Snapdragon 675 from Qualcomm features a newer architecture with fourth-generation octa-core Kryo 460 CPU. It features two high-power cores clocked at 2GHz and six low-power cores that run on 1.7GHz. It can support up to 8GB RAM at 1866 MHz. Further, the SoC comes with Qualcomm Spectra 250L triple-camera ISP, an improved Qualcomm AI Engine, Qualcomm Hexagon 685 DSP, Adreno 612 GPU and Snapdragon X12 LTE modem. The processor is manufactured using an 11nm LPP process and is targeted at mid-range handsets.

Further, the Redmi Note 7 Pro is expected to carry forward Redmi Note 7’s 48MP camera setup. However, the Note 7 Pro is said to feature a Sony IMX 586 sensor instead of Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright GMI 48MP sensor used on the Redmi Note 7.

Word has it that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be launched sometime in February. Both the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro are expected to be blockbuster devices for Xiaomi. The company expects to sell 1 million units of the Redmi Note 7 in its first sale month.
