Redmi has confirmed that it is working on its Redmi K30 smartphone and it has now revealed some more details about it. The company’s GM, Lu Weibing, has previously announced that the upcoming handset will feature 5G support and now, he has confirmed that the Redmi K30 will sport a dual front camera setup, which will be housed in the display that sports a punch-hole design. The company executive also partially revealed the phone’s design and it looks somewhat similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note S10+, which also sports a punch-hole display design for the dual front cameras.

Weibing shared the info on Weibo and again reiterated 5G support on ṭhe Redmi K30. He also shared some additional details about the device like it will come with will SA (Standalone mode) and NSA (Non-Standalone mode) dual-mode support. The latter relies on the existing LTE network for control functions like communication between cell towers and servers. This enables lowered 5G deployment costs in areas that already have LTE connectivity. In addition, the K30 is also said to become the “most affordable 5G phone” when it is announced.

Backed by a 4000mAh battery, the two phones come equipped with a 20MP front camera, which is housed in their pop-up front camera setup.

The Redmi K20 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 855 SoC and comes with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the Redmi K20 is powered by the Snapdragon 730 SoC, which is paired with 6GB RAM and comes with options to select from 64GB and 128GB of onboard storage.
