Realme has been on a roll for the last few months, releasing one phone after another. Recently the company launched the Realme X50 Pro 5G, the first phone with the Snapdragon 865 chipset and consequently 5G. Amidst all the hardware announcements, Realme 5 Pro and the Realme X are now receiving an update to Android 10 based Realme UI.
Since its inception, Realme has been using Oppo’s ColourOS as the choice of operating system for all its smartphones. The company had announced plans to develop its own OS, but the plans were eventually parked. Instead, the company now has a lightly customised version of ColourOS called Realme UI, based on Android 10. In January, Realme XT and Realme 3 Pro received updates to Realme UI and now, Realme 5 Pro and Realme XT users can enjoy the same.
Realme says that the update will roll out in a staggered manner, with the first batch of users getting the update today. Wider roll-out is expected to occur in the coming few days. In terms of features, the list is pretty long, with the most important being an OS-level upgrade from Android 9 to Android 10. Other changes are listed below.
