Nokia 9 leaked spec sheet tips at 41MP triple camera setup, 6.1-inch QHD AMOLED display
The Nokia 9 could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage space.
Reports of a Nokia 9 smartphone in the works have been popping up since the second half of 2017 and now the entire spec sheet of the smartphone has leaked online. Slashleaks has posted the alleged specification of the Nokia 9, along with an image of its rear panel. As per the image and the specs, it could feature a triple rear camera setup, similar to the recently launched Huawei P20 Pro and have high-end hardware, as expected from the company’s flagship smartphone.
As per the report, the Nokia 9 could be equipped with a 41MP primary wide-angle camera, a 20MP secondary telephoto lens and a 9.7MP monochrome camera with ZEISS optics. The main camera comes with 4x optical zoom support and an LED flash, and the device might feature a 21MP sensor on the front. Nokia 9 will reportedly sport a 6.1-inch QHD AMOLED screen with a taller 18:9 display aspect ratio and is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The smartphone’s spec sheet suggests a ceramic rear panel with an 18-karat gold finish, similar to the Nokia 8 Sirocco and the Nokia 7 Plus. The device could be backed by a 3900mAh battery, support Qi wireless charging and be IP68 certified water and dust resistant. One interesting reveal is the use of an in-display fingerprint scanner on the handset, which a previous report also tipped at.
The Nokia 9 will most likely run on Android 8.1.0 out-of-the-box and is speculated to be backed by a 3900mAh battery with support for Qi wireless charging. Connectivity options include USB type-C, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and 3.5mm headphone jack. According to the specs sheet, the Nokia 9 comes with 5 mics which can record 24-bit audio and it is sporting the Android One branding on the rear as well.
It's not known when the Nokia 9 will be announced, however, the company's 2018 lineup of smartphones might soon be available in India. HMD Global’s VP, Ajay Mehta, has teased an image of the Nokia 7 Plus on Twitter with the caption “Stay tuned,” hinting that the company might launch its 2018 smartphone lineup in India. Nokia has an event planned on April 4, where its expected to officially launch the Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus, and the Nokia 8110 phones. The devices were initially unveiled at the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona. The image posted on Twitter also reference the company's partnership with the Kolkata Knight Riders.
