HIGHLIGHTS

A retailer has posted a photo the Samsung S8+ with a “new MOP” of Rs 39,990 on Twitter. The price of the smartphone on Samsung’s online store, Flipkart and Paytm is still Rs 51,990.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones in April last year for Rs 64,900 in India. A year later, following the launch of the Galaxy S9 series, the S8 series got a price cut and the Galaxy S8+ was priced at Rs. 53,990. The Galaxy S8+ smartphone seems to be receiving another price cut as a retailer in Mumbai is selling the premium device for Rs 39,990. The price drop follows the launch of the Galaxy Note 9 phablet in India.
