Lenovo has announced its Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition smartphone in China.
The new handset is a mid-range phone with Snapdragon 710 SoC.
It comes equipped with a 16MP + 8MP + 5MP rear camera setup.
Lenovo launched its latest Z6 Pro smartphone in China late last month and it has now introduced a ‘Youth Edition’ of the handset. The new Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition is a less-powerful, mid-range variant in the Lenovo Z6 series, which comes equipped with the Snapdragon 710 SoC. The USP of the smartphone is its triple rear camera setup and its build. The Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition (also called Z6 Lite) is built out of roll cage magnesium alloy, also used in Lenovo ThinkPads. The phone has been announced in Knight Black and Stardust colour models, which feature a textured rear panel and a gradient design respectively.
Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition specifications
The Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition is equipped with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display that has a 1080×2340 pixel resolution. The handset’s screen features a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a waterdrop notch on top. The Lenovo Z6 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 710 octa-core SoC that is clocked at 2.2GHz. It comes with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage and allows expansion of onboard storage via a microSD card. It runs on Android Pie-based ZUI 11 software and is backed by a 4050mAh battery that supports 15W rapid charging via a USB Type-C port.
In terms of optics, the Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition features triple rear cameras. Here, a 16MP primary camera is supplemented with an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 5MP telephoto lens. The handset’s camera comes with a host of features like AI scene detection, super night scene mode, AI portrait mode, multi-frame noise reduction, and more. On the front is a 16MP selfie camera with f/1.2 sensor. The smartphone retains the 3.5mm audio jack and sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition price
The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version of the Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition is priced at CNY 1,099 (Rs 11,100 approx), while its 6GB RAM + 64GB storage option costs CNY 1,399 (Rs 14,200 approx). The top-most model of the handset with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at CNY 1,699 (Rs 17,100 approx).
