Lenovo Z5s with Snapdragon 710 and triple rear camera setup launched in China
At the event, Lenovo also announced that its next smartphone, the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT, will soon launch with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and up to 8GB RAM.
After numerous leaks, Lenovo has finally launched its Z5s smartphone in China. The smartphone is the latest addition to its Z5 series, which already has the Lenovo Z5 Pro. The smartphone adopts the latest design trend in the form of a waterdrop notch as well as a triple rear camera setup. Lenovo also announced that it will soon launch the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT which will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon 855 platform and up to 8GB RAM.
Lenovo Z5s price
The Lenovo Z5s smartphone is priced starting at CNY 1,398 (approx Rs 14,400) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option. The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage option will be available for CNY 1,598 (approx Rs 16,400), and for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option, users will have to shell out CNY 1,898 (approx Rs 19,500). The phone will be available in Honey Orange, Starry Black, and Titanium Crystal Blue colours. The reservations for the phone have already started, and the company said the sale will begin from December 24. There is a special Lenovo Z5s Zhu Yilong custom model that is priced CNY 1,998 (approx Rs 20,500), and the company start shipping it from January 12.

As mentioned, the Lenovo Z5s sports a waterdrop notch and slim bezels on a 6.3-inch LTPS display – Lenovo calls it “Microporous drop screen”. The display offers 92.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and 450nits peak brightness. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and paired with Adreno 616 GPU. The storage is can be expanded up to 256GB using microSD card.

On the back, the Lenovo Z5s wears a gradient colour look and is protected by a glass with P2i nano anti-splatter coating. The smartphone sports a triple rear camera setup at the back stacked vertically on the top left corner. There is a flash that sits beneath the camera module, and centrally aligned fingerprint sensor. The triple rear camera setup looks like the one we have already seen in the P20 Pro.
The main camera has a 16MP main sensor with 6P lens and f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP telephoto lens and a 5MP wide-angle sensor. The company says that the Lenovo Z5s is equipped with Arcsoft zoom smooth algorithm to achieve 2 times lossless optical zoom, adjust panoramic real-time blur and a “Face tracking light source adjustment algorithm” for portraits. On the front there is a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
