Eleven 2019 iPhone models show up on EEC database
HIGHLIGHTS

11 models of 2019 iPhones have appeared on the Eurasian Economic Commission’s regulatory database.

11 models of 2019 iPhones have appeared on the Eurasian Economic Commission’s regulatory database. The 2019 iPhones are expected to be announced in September and ahead of their launch, 11 SKU variants of the new iPhones have appeared on the Eurasian database, which lists all devices featuring encryption technology.

The eleven 2019 iPhone model numbers include –  A2111, A2160, A2161, A2215, A2216, A2217, A2218, A2219, A2220, A2221, and A2223. While there are 11 variants of the 2019 iPhones listed here, it does not mean that Apple will launch all 11 in all markets. As is the case with Apple, the company launches different configurations of iPhones in different parts of the world, varying on the basis of cellular bands, SIM, and other components.

A report on 9to5mac suggests that model numbers A2111, A2161, A2215 could belong to the successor of iPhone XR, while the rest of the models could represent different variants of the iPhone 11 (iPhone XI) and iPhone 11 Max (iPhone XI Max).

Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones this year – 6.5-inch and 5.8-inch iPhones with OLED displays and a 6.1-inch LCD model. Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that the 2019 iPhone would feature improved Face ID, reverse wireless charging, bigger batteries and frosted glass casing. The iPhone XI and XI Plus are expected to house triple rear cameras in a square-shaped enclosure. Digit was the first publication to leak the design of the upcoming iPhone XI in partnership with OnLeaks back in January. Later on, our leak was corroborated by multiple known tipsters and other schematic leaks.

“A super-wide camera will be newly adopted by the triple-camera system, which is equipped with the 12MP/1um CIS provided exclusively by Sony. (2) The front camera of all three new iPhone models will likely upgrade to 12MP CIS+5P lens (vs. current 7MP CIS+4P lens),”  Kuo noted in one of his research notes. Apple could also employ “black lens-coating technologies” on the rear super-wide-angle lens and the front camera of the upcoming iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max.
