The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 runs on the Snapdragon 660 and comes in three variants, one with 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant, and two more with 4GB and 6GB RAM, with 64GB of internal storage.
Asus announced its Zenfone Max Pro M2 a week ago and today, the phone goes on sale for the first time in India. The smartphone goes up against Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 6 series of devices, especially the Note 6 Pro. The Max Pro M2 features a 19:9 display aspect ratio and ships with a newer processor over its predecessor. It is also said to be the first phone to introduce the new Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection in this price segment. Additionally, the phone comes with a Dynamic Optical finish on the rear panel which is said to be made using a 16-layer wave finish design.
Zenfone Max Pro M2 Specifications
The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 (first-impressions) is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and comes in three variant – 3GB RAM/32GB Storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB of storage, and another with 6GB RAM coupled with 64GB of internal storage. It sports a 6.26-inch full-HD+ display and is equipped with a 19:9 screen aspect ratio. The notch on device’s front houses proximity and ambient light sensors, an LED flash, a notification LED, along with the front-facing camera. It features a large 5000mAh battery, same as the Zenfone Max Pro M1. The phone runs on the stock Android operating system and during the launch, Asus promised an Android Pie update for it by January next year.
In terms of camera, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 features a dual rear camera setup with a 12MP primary sensor, which is paired with a 5MP secondary depth sensor. The handset comes with a 13MP selfie camera and Asus says that AI scene detection and EIS support will be enabled for the phone via an OTA update in December. The main camera on the handset will ship with EIS support.
Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 Price and Launch Offers
Asus priced the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant of the ZenFone Max Pro M2 at Rs 12,999. Its 4GB RAM/64GB storage version will cost Rs 14,999, while for Rs 16,999, one can get the device’s 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant. The smartphone will go up for sale today at 12 PM, exclusively via Flipkart in Blue and Titanium colour models.
For launch offers, the phones will be available with a Rs 1,000 discount when purchased using HDFC Bank credit and debit cards. Additionally, there’s a 5 percent discount for those who pay using Axis Bank Buzz credit card. No-cost EMI option for the phone starts at Rs 1,667 and as a part of Asus-Flipkart partnership, one will get to buy a Mobile Protection Plan for the device at Rs 99, down from Rs 1,299.
