Apple iPhone 11 reportedly suffering from green tint issue
HIGHLIGHTS

Green tint showing up on some iPhone 11 series smartphones.

Issue happening across all versions of iOS 13.

Apple has not yet issued a statement on the matter.

Some Apple iPhone 11 series owners are reporting a sudden green tint on the displays of their smartphones. The issue is being reported by users of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and even the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The issue seems to be of the display randomly turning green after unlocking the device. Given that the iPhone 11 series has been in the market for quite some time now, it is unlikely that this is a hardware issue, and is perhaps, related to the iOS 13.5 update.

The Reddit thread where the issue was first posted is riddled with reports of the iPhone display randomly turning green after users would unlock the iPhone. The thread alludes to the issue being prevalent across all versions of iOS 13, and not just iOS 13.5. Many users have, however, stated that updating to iOS 13.5 has made the issue more pronounced. Some users have also pointed out that the green tint issue tends to happen when they are using Dark mode and have night shift enabled. Many users report that the tint disappears after some time but keeps coming back.

Apple has yet to issue a statement or acknowledge the issue, but it is likely that the company could release a new OS update to tackle this specific issue. Apple did release iOS 13.5.1 a few days ago to specifically patch the vulnerability that allowed the Unc0ver jailbreak to be achieved. Given the nature of the problem, we don’t expect Apple to wait until the release of iOS 14 to fix the problem. Hopefully, the company releases an update in the coming few days.
