Snapdragon is one of the biggest chipset makers in the world now. And now it has unveiled its latest Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chip. With this chipset, Qualcomm says that it will enable a quicker transition from 4G to 5G.

The Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chip aims at entry-level phones. The new chipset will ensure a stronger CPU performance which will allow for better multitasking and performance. It has dual-band navIC for improved positional accuracy, AI-enhanced audio, and superior entertainment experiences. It promotes smooth gameplay and powerful video streaming. It will allow for 1 Gbps peak download speeds.

Speaking about the launch, Chris Patrick, Senior Vice President and General Manager of mobile handsets at Qualcomm Technologies, said, “The Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 Mobile Platform is a significant leap forward in making 5G technology more accessible, so more people can navigate the world at 5G speeds. Thanks to cutting-edge engineering, we balanced affordability with strong performance and all-day battery life as well as widespread access to 5G for more enhanced mobile experiences.”

Xiaomi might be one of the first few companies to launch a smartphone with this chipset. The smartphone featuring the newly announced Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset by Xiaomi can be announced by the end of 2024.
