Samsung seems to be working on its next big update for users, the One UI 8.5. The One UI 8.5 beta version is said to roll out for the Galaxy S25 lineup this month. This comes after tipster Tarun Vats stated that the beta program will be released in stages, starting next week. One UI 8.5 release timeline

The stable version of One UI 8.5 is anticipated to debut next year alongside the Galaxy S26 series. While the exact details remain under wraps, the reports suggest that the One UI 8.5 update may debut in late February or early March and will be rolled out to other devices in a phased manner.

One UI 8.5 features

The update is expected to include a variety of new features, including shareable Pro camera settings, a Network Battery Saver mode that limits background network activity, and enhanced Priority Notifications. Samsung is also believed to be moving the search bar to the bottom of many stock apps to increase accessibility.

Visual improvements are also in the pipeline. The firmware is expected to include revamped 3D app icons, three new lockscreen clock styles, and a significant overhaul of the fast settings panel with configurable toggles for increased user control.
