Samsung launches Galaxy W tablet in Korea, boasts of a 7 inch display, Android 4.3 and quad-core processor.
Samsung has launched a 7-inch 'Galaxy W' in Korea via telecom operator SK Telecom. The tablet is priced at SKW 4,99,400 (Rs. 29,000 approximately). There is no word when the tablet will be released globally.
The Samsung Galaxy W supports voice calling and LTE-A network connectivity. It has a 7-inch HD display and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. It has a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM. The Galaxy W has an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera. The phablet has 16 GB inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card support up to 64 GB. No details have been mentioned about the phablets battery capacity and connectivity options.
Samsung had launched its Galaxy Tab 4 series in April, which including three tablets namely: Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. All the three tablets support WXGA 1280 x 800 pixels display resolution but different screen sizes as the names suggest. The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a 7-inch display; the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 comes with an 8-inch display, while the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 sports a 10.1-inch display. The tablets share the same specifications including Android 4.4 KitKat OS and a 1.2 GHz quad-core processors paired with 1.5 GB of RAM. The tablets featured 3 MP rear cameras as well as 1.3MP front-facing cameras.
Samsung recent launched the Galaxy S5 Active, a more rugged variant of its flagship Samsung Galaxy S5. The S5 Active comes with physical navigation buttons, removable back cover and an inbuilt heart sensor.
