Logitech drives ForceEX Wheel for PS2 and PS3

Logitech unveiled the Logitech Driving Force EX wheel for PS2 and PS3, a one-wheel-fits-all solution for the PlayStation computer entertainment system

Logitech, a digital lifestyle peripherals major, unveiled the Logitech Driving Force EX wheel for PS2 and PS3, a one-wheel-fits-all solution for the PlayStation computer entertainment system. Logitech’s new wheel comes with two interface plugs: the standard PlayStation controller plug, ensuring the wheel will work with any PlayStation game; and a USB plug that allows the Logitech Driving Force EX wheel to deliver realistic force feedback.

Most of the best-selling driving games support force feedback, through the USB plug. Force feedback technology provides realistic directional resistance as drivers encounter bumps, ridges or potholes on their way to victory lane. Force feedback over the USB connection lets you feel curbs, weight transfer, and even your opponents’ fenders as you try to hold a racing line at 150 MPH. Even for games that don´t support USB, the Logitech Driving Force EX wheel still delivers a comfortable, precision driving experience and standard vibration feedback.

“Games that provide a realistic experience have always been in demand among the gamers. Logitech Driving Force ForceEX Wheel has the advanced force feedback technology that lets you feel every turn, every bump just as if you were driving on the actual racing track,” says Subrotah Biswas, Country Manager, India & SAARC, Logitech.

The Logitech Driving Force EX wheel also represents the latest industrial design innovation from Logitech. A gas-assist injection molding process was used during manufacturing, allowing the wheel to be created in a single, durable piece – without any seams. While most gaming wheels on the market are molded with front and back halves that are later pieced together, Logitech´s wheel is one sturdy part that feels especially rigid and high quality. Without any seams or edges to give false vibration, the feeling of force feedback is even more realistic.
