HP unveils 4K, 5K curved displays at CES 2015

HP announces a range of curved, 4K and 5K displays at the CES 2015 in Las Vegas.

HP is expanding its display line and has announced two 4K displays, along with a 5K monitor, a pair of curved displays and its first virtual reality display that works with 3D glasses at the CES 2015.

HP's 4K models unveiled at the CES 2014 include the HP Z27s with a 27-inch screen and the Z24s with a 23.8 inch screen. Both displays feature 16:9 UHD panels, CVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, Mini-DP, MHL and USB 3.0 connections. They also comes with four-way stands that can switch between landscape and portrait modes. The monitors will be launched globally in January (the Z27s) and April (the Z24s) at $749  and $549 respectively.

The 5K HP Z27q has a 27-inch 5120 x 2880 5K screen with picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture features that let you display real-time feeds from mobile gadgets and other PCs. It will be launched globally in March for $1,299.

HP has also announced four curved displays, with 178-degree viewing angles, 3000:1 CR, and "low-haze enhancement technology" that according to company claims reduces reflectiveness while maintaining clarity. The HP Z34c and HP ENVY 34c 3000r Curved displays has a 34 inches screen, with 3440 x 1440 resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio. They also feature the picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture features as the 5K display and are expected to be rolled out globally in April for $999.

HP has also launched the EliteDisplay S270c and HP Pavilion 27c 4000r 27-inch 1080 pixels displays with 16:9 aspect ratio for $399. Apart from these the company has also announced its unique Zvr Virtual Reality Display at the CES 2015 event. The 23.6 inch display allows users to manipulate objects with your computer in a space just above the screen. It comes with a pair of 3D glasses and four internal IR cameras that track your movement while playing. HP hasn't revealed the pricing or the launch date of the monitor yet, but says it will be rolled out sometime in spring.
