Google is also offering an ad-free Gaana access to all Google Home and Home Mini users till October 31, 2018. The Google Home has been discounted by Rs 1,000, while the Home Mini has received a limited period price cut of Rs 1,400.
Google launched the Google Home and Home Mini smart speakers in India back in April and now, both devices have received a limited period price cut. The Google Home and Home Mini were originally launched at a price of Rs 9,999 and Rs 5,499 respectively. In the limited discount period, the Home has received a price cut of Rs 1,000 making it available for Rs 8,999, while the Google Home Mini is available for Rs 4,099, down Rs 1,400. These best buy offers from Google are valid from May 17 to May 31, 2018.
SurveyGoogle is also offering Home users an ad-free Gaana subscription till October 31, 2018. As per the terms of the offer, Home and Home Mini users can stream ad-free music by saying “Play on Gaana”. Account linking is not required for streaming music ad-free on the Google Home speakers, but the ad experience will remain the same while using Gaana on other platforms such as phones.
Besides an ad-free Gaana experience, Google Home and Home Mini users will also get a free 6-month subscription to Google Play Music. This Google Play Music 6 Month trial offer is only open to India residents who purchase and activate a Google Home or Google Home Mini by June 30, 2018. The offer will also not be applicable for those who already have a Google Play Music subscription; it is for first time subscribers only. At the end of the trial period, users will be automatically charged the standard subscription fee of Rs 99 per month. The trial can be cancelled at no charge at any time before the July 30 timeline is over.
As part of its spate of launch offers, Google is already handing out 10% cashback on the purchase of the Google Home and Home Mini using HDFC Bank Credit Cards. Cashback will be credited after 90 days from program end date, which is May 31. Customer will be eligible for a single transaction per card.
The Home and Home Mini are Google’s answer to Amazon’s Echo range of smart speakers. Both are equipped with Google’s AI-based digital helper – Google Assistant – which answers to voice commands.
