PUBG Mobile-Resident Evil 2 crossover: New Capcom teaser hints at Biohazard gameplay mode
HIGHLIGHTS

A Tweet made by the official Japanese account of Biohazard: RE 2 confirms that there will be some sort of new Zombie gameplay introduced in PUBG Mobile.

We already know that PUBG Mobile has partnered with Capcom’s upcoming popular survival-horror game Resident Evil 2, also known as Biohazard RE: 2 in Japan. The collaboration between the two games was announced by the developers of the viral mobile game towards the end of the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge in Dubai and now, another teaser from Capcom Japan further cements rumours that Zombies are coming to PUBG Mobile.

A Tweet made by the official Japanese account of Biohazard RE: 2 (Resident Evil 2) confirms that there will be some sort of new Zombie gameplay introduced in PUBG Mobile, inspired by the horror game. The tweet was also retweeted by PUBG Mobile’s official handle saying, “Ok, so we are going to drop this hint of what's to come right here. Get ready.” When translated in English, the original Tweet made in Japanese by the Biohazard RE: 2 account reads – “collaboration decided! The world's most popular mobile game and survival horror Monument, what kind of novel play can the combination of two super-IPs produce?”

It is also suggested that PUBG Mobile could get new skins, costumes and characters based on Resident Evil 2. There is no set date for the final announcement, but Resident Evil 2 releases on January 25, 2019. One is advised to keep a keen eye out on PUBG Mobile’s Twitter handle for the details of the announcement, which may or may not be release before the launch of RE2.

PUBG Mobile has become the most popular mobile game of 2018 with more than 20 million daily active users. It recently won three Google Play awards for the Most Competitive app, Best Game and Best Fan Favourite game of 2018. Apple also recognised Battle Royale style gaming as the Gaming Trend of The Year. The developers recently announced a new Arabic client and Middle East servers for PUBG Mobile which should benefit more players in the region as they will be able to access the game in their own language and enjoy better speeds.
