PUBG for PC is testing a new flying vehicle called the Motor Glider

The vehicle seats two players, namely a pilot and a gunner

The Motor Glider will spawn in Erangel and Miramar in Squad Mode

PUBG for PC is testing a new vehicle that will allow players to fly above the battlefield. Called a Motor Glider, the vehicle resembles an Ultralight aircraft. The new aircraft will be available in PUBG Labs, a new section of PUBG for PC where developers can test new settings and features before they make their way to the full version of the game. The Motor Glider is the first time PUBG PC players will get a chance to pilot an aerial vehicle.

“You’ve been hittin’ the roads on the battlegrounds pretty hard, but where we’re going, we don’t need roads. Final boarding call for the Motor Glider mode only available for a limited time. Take to the air in the new Motor Glider and get the drop on enemy squads wherever they are,” the developers write in their official blog post.

The Motor Glider is a two-seater vehicle with space for a pilot and a gunner. The gunner can use all his/her weapons while flying, including throwables. The vehicle is also pretty much indestructible. It is noted that only the engine of the vehicle can be destroyed, with the wings taking less damage as compared to the body. The tires cannot be damaged at all, you players can glide and land the aircraft even after the engine has been disabled.

The Motor Glider needs a minimum speed of 65 km/h to take off and, at 70 km/h, it will take off on its own. The fuel consumption rate of the vehicle depends on the amount of throttle you use. It is noted that while there is no maximum altitude, the engine power will reduce the higher players go.

The new vehicle will be available for a limited time between Dec 19 11pm PST and Dec 22 11pm PST. It will spawn in Erangel and Miramar in Squad Mode. It will be available in both TPP and FPP.

It should be noted helicopters already made their way to players in PUBG Mobile a few months ago. However, the vehicles are not available in classic mode and are limited to a special Payload Mode, which also offers other features such as teammate revival.
