Update: Sony has officially released a new global ad for the PlayStation 5

The ad first appeared on the PlayStation Hungary's Youtube Page

Twitter user, Daniel Ahmad tweeted out the original video

Update 11:50 AM, August 21, 2020: The new global ad for the PlayStation 5 has now officially been revealed after the video was first posted on The PlayStation Hungary's Youtube page. The video was quickly taken down but not before the internet got a hold of it. Not though, the company has released the full ad which you can check out below.

Original Story: Just as rumours of a launch date and price of the PS5 and Xbox Series X have hit the Internet, it looks like the PlayStation Hungary Youtube channel has inadvertently revealed a short ad for the PlayStation 5. The video has since been made private, but as you all know, nothing stays hidden on the internet as Twitter user, Daniel Ahmad has posted the video in a tweet.

The video looks like an ad that talks a bit about the features of the PlayStation 5. Stuff like the 3D audio, DualSense controller was highlighted in Hungarian in the video. Now, the ad does not mention when the console will launch or even how much it even costs but it’s still pretty legit. Sony has been tight-lipped about the launch and price of the PS5. While previous information suggests it costs Sony about $450 to make a PS5, Sony hasn’t given us much information or even hinted at a possible price. During the reveal of the PS5, Sony did confirm that the PS5 will be available in 2 variants – one with a Blu-ray drive and one All Digital.

As of right now, the PlayStation 5 is slated for release during Holidays 2020 and that’s as much as we know. If you want to know more about the PS5, you check out our breakdown of the console, here. And, just for nostalgia’s sake, let’s take a look back at the life and times of the PS4 in India as the console is coming to the end of its life cycle. Also, you can check out a video of Quentin Staes-Polet, GM India, and SEA-Epic Games talk about the newly announced Unreal Engine 5 running on the PS5 below.
