Parasakthi is now ready to arrive on OTT after completing a successful run in theatres. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role and was among the first big Tamil releases of 2026. From the start, it created strong buzz because of its political theme and historical setting. While reviews have been mixed, the movie still managed to pull audiences to cinemas. This was helped by good release timing and very little competition at the box office. As its theatrical run comes to a close, Parasakthi has clearly performed well. It has emerged as one of the top-performing Tamil films of the year so far with steady audience interest.

Parasakthi: OTT release date and platform

Parasakthi will make its OTT debut on February 7. The film will stream on ZEE5 and will also be available to subscribers of OTTplay Premium, allowing access across multiple platforms.

Parasakthi: Plot

Set in 1950s and 1960s Tamil Nadu, Parasakthi explores the anti-Hindi agitations that arose against the Union government’s policies. The story follows two brothers with opposing ideologies whose lives change after a tragic incident. Their conflict leads to the resurgence of a student movement called the Purananooru army, which becomes central to the unfolding political unrest.

Parasakthi: Cast and crew

The film stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, with Ravi Mohan playing the antagonist. Atharvaa and Sreeleela appear in key roles, while Rana Daggubati, Basil Joseph and Daali Dhananjay feature in guest appearances. Parasakthi is written and directed by Sudha Kongara, with music composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
