Recap of Panchayat season 4 and what to expect in Panchayat season 5

Season 4 left viewers with plenty to think about. Manju Devi was defeated in the village elections, with Kranti Devi stepping in as the new head. On the other hand, Sachiv Ji’s big moment arrived when he cleared his CAT exam, an achievement that could potentially alter his future.

The teaser of season 5 shows the characters in good spirits, with a bottle gourd (lauki) making a symbolic appearance, sparking curiosity among fans. While lighthearted in tone, the season is expected to take on serious arcs as well.

Viewers can look forward to answers on whether Sachiv Ji and Rinki’s love story finally takes shape, how village leadership unfolds after the election drama, and whether Sachiv Ji will stay in Phulera or move ahead with his exam success.

Panchayat Season 5 has been confirmed to release in 2026. Just like the earlier seasons, it will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

Panchayat season 5 will feature Jitendra Kumar as Sachiv Ji, Neena Gupta as Manju Devi, Raghubir Yadav, Chandan Roy, Faisal Malik and Sanvikaa. The show is created by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Chandan Kumar, with Chandan Kumar also writing the script. The direction is done by Akshat Vijaywargiya and Deepak Kumar Mishra.
