Bridgerton season 5 is officially in production. The upcoming season will feature a fresh story. This time, the focus will shift to Francesca Bridgerton, one of the quieter members of the Bridgerton family. The new season will show the series’ first main same-sex love story. According to showrunner Jess Brownell, the story will carry the emotional depth, humour and romance that viewers expect from the show. Bridgerton season 5 storyline

Season 5 will follow Francesca as she tries to rebuild her life after the major loss of her husband, John Stirling, passes away. After about two years, Francesca decides it might be time to return to social life. She begins to think about the possibility of remarriage. However, her plans take an unexpected turn when Michaela, John’s cousin, arrives in London to manage the family estate. As Francesca spends more time around Michaela, she begins to question what she truly wants from her future.

Bridgerton season 5 release timeline

While the makers have not yet announced the release date of Bridgerton season 5, reports suggest that viewers may have to wait a while as the show could return sometime between late 2027 and early 2028.

Bridgerton season 6 confirmed

Even before season 4 premiered, the makers renewed the show for two more seasons- season 5 and season 6. This means fans can expect at least two more chapters of the show.
