As of this writing, POCO has not announced an India launch for the F9 Ultra, and several outlets have noted this may not happen at all — the previous-generation F8 Pro and F8 Ultra both skipped India entirely, with POCO instead focusing its India lineup around the X series.

The POCO F9 Ultra is POCO's most powerful phone to date, built around the full Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with the VisionBoost D8 display chip for gaming performance. It features a larger 6.9-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The phone can be configured with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It's powered by a substantial 8,050mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W wired HyperCharge, 50W wireless charging, and both wired and wireless reverse charging, though no charging brick is included in the box. The camera system leads with a 200MP OIS main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 5x optical zoom and up to 10x lossless zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens, alongside a 32MP front camera capable of recording up to 8K video.
