Specifications
Portronics Beem 550 Smart LED Projector features a native 1080p HD resolution and up to 6000 lumens brightness, which should be fine for a moderately lit room. The projector supports a 16:9 aspect ratio, a contrast ratio of 2000:1, and projects screens up to 100 inches in size from a distance of 1.2 to 4 metres. The projector uses an LED light source with a lamp life of up to 40,000 hours, which should last long in normal use.

For sound, the Beem 550 comes with a 5W built-in bottom-firing speaker, ensuring audio for small to medium rooms. It supports multiple audio formats such as AAC, FLAC, MP3, WAV, and OGG, with an earphone out port for connecting external speakers if needed.
On the software side, the device runs Android TV OS, giving users access to built-in OTT apps including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, and YouTube. It also supports screen mirroring, multi-language UI, and major video formats like VP9, AV1, H.265, and AVS3, along with image formats such as BMP, PNG, and JPEG.
Connectivity options include HDMI IN, USB, and earphone out ports, along with dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless pairing with phones, laptops, or gaming consoles. Power is supplied via a 100–220V AC input, and internal storage is rated at 8GB along with 1GB RAM.
The Beem 550 supports auto focus and auto keystone correction, which should enable a properly aligned image without manual adjustment. It can be compact and tall too, thanks to an extendable telescopic monopod stand. You can adjust its height and angle, too. The projector is plug-and-play, requiring no installation, and is built for portability and quick setup across home, office, or travel environments.
That’s about it. Under Rs 10,000, you can compare it against alternatives like Wzatco Yuva Go Pro and Egate Atom 4X (EO9022). Keep reading Digit.in for more projector-related news and stories.
