According to Downdetector, reports of the outage in India started appearing at around 8:05 PM, with complaints rapidly increasing.
Usually, when platforms go offline, users rush to X to share their frustrations or look for real-time updates. However, with X itself down, many found themselves without their usual space for live reactions. Interestingly, a few users still managed to post about the situation on the platform. One user joked, ‘X down to stop people from sharing spoilers of Dhurandar 2,’ while another posted, ‘X seems down for dislike button roll out.’
The company is yet to release an official statement regarding the outage. For now, users will have to wait for the company to identify the issue and resolve it.
Meanwhile, X is not the only platform experiencing disruptions. In the US, Claude is also facing an outage, with more than 2,000 reports. Of these, 52 percent relate to Claude Code, 25 percent to Claude Chat, and 12 percent to the app.
