Foldable smartphones have come a long way in recent years, but battery life and charging speeds are still areas where many users want improvements. According to a new report, Samsung might finally address these concerns. A report from GalaxyClub suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 could feature a 5,000mAh battery. If this turns out to be accurate, it would represent about a 13 per cent increase over the battery found in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Also, there is speculation that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 could support 45W or 60W charging.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to sport an 8-inch AMOLED main display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The device could sport a 6.5-inch outer display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The outer screen is likely to come with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 glass protection.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512 GB storage.
For photography, the foldable device could house a triple camera setup on the back, including a 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens and a 10MP telephoto sensor. On the front, there could be a 10MP camera for selfies and video calls.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to launch in the second half of 2026, possibly in July. As far as the pricing is concerned, the foldable device could be priced between Rs 1,85,000 and Rs 1,95,000 in India.
