Samsung’s position in the global soundbar market

According to Futuresource market data, Samsung’s global soundbar performance in 2025 included:

  • 19.7% share of global soundbar unit shipments

Alongside the announcement, Samsung reiterated that it will expand its home audio portfolio in 2026 with several new products aimed at delivering cinema-like sound across different home environments.

QS90H

If you are looking to invest in the upcoming Samsung speaker range, here are their names:

  • HW-Q990H flagship soundbar, the successor to the HW-Q990F
  • HW-QS90H all-in-one soundbar, that is designed for simpler setups
  • Music Studio 7 and Music Studio 5 Wi-Fi speakers, that are created in collaboration with French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec

The HW-Q990H is expected to build on Samsung’s flagship Q-series soundbar lineup, which focuses on high channel counts, Dolby Atmos support and wireless rear speakers for immersive surround sound.

Flagship models in Samsung’s Q-series have typically targeted buyers looking for a full home theatre experience without the complexity of traditional speaker systems. In our HW-QN990F review, we came to the conclusion that this soundbar shows how much a dedicated sound system can elevate a TV setup. The Samsung S95F OLED already delivers respectable built-in audio, but adding the Q990F immediately expands the scale and immersion. Movies sound bigger, surround effects feel more convincing, and music gains stronger bass and presence.

What makes the Q990F appealing is how easily it delivers this upgrade. Setup is straightforward, the system stays tidy, and it rarely needs manual tweaking. Its design is understated but premium, blending into most living rooms without drawing attention. In daily use, it simply works, delivering rich, immersive sound across films, streaming content, and bass-heavy music. At Rs 92,990, we found the combination of strong performance and fuss-free usability makes it feel like a well-rounded flagship soundbar package.

Besides the Q-series soundbars, the company is also refreshing lifestyle-focused audio products such as Wi-Fi speakers that aim to appeal to users who prefer simpler setups with multi-room audio capabilities.

Announcing the new achievement, Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said, ‘At Samsung, we take special pride in our soundbar brand and see it as a way to bring premium sound experiences to homes everywhere. Being named the top soundbar brand in the world for the 12th consecutive year is not just a tremendous honour, but a testament to our commitment to premium home entertainment.’

We look forward to Samsung’s 2026 audio portfolio.
