BenQ has launched the Mobiuz EX271UZ in India, a 27-inch premium gaming monitor aimed at enthusiasts who value visual fidelity as much as raw performance. It is touted as the world’s first ‘Game Art Monitor’, the EX271UZ combines a 4th-generation QD-OLED panel with game-aware colour processing designed to preserve creator intent in modern AAA titles. The monitor targets high-end PC and console gamers looking beyond refresh rates, focusing instead on how colour, contrast and tone shape in-game storytelling. Compared to conventional OLED gaming monitors, BenQ’s pitch is: less manual calibration, more authenticity to the creator’s intent across different game styles.

Specifications and features
The EX271UZ features a 27-inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) 4th-gen QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate and a claimed 0.03ms grey-to-grey response time. It supports 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage and pixel-level dynamic contrast, which is inherent to OLED panels but further tuned through BenQ’s processing.
For connectivity, the monitor offers HDMI 2.1 ports with eARC support, making it suitable for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and high-end PCs. It features AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support that could aid in smoother gameplay with reduced tearing and low-latency HDR output. BenQ also bundles a dedicated remote control, allowing quick access to picture modes and settings, which is still uncommon in the gaming monitor segment.

In real-world use, the combination of 4K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate places heavy demands on GPU performance, meaning most users will rely on high-end graphics cards or consoles running at dynamic resolutions. The OLED panel should deliver strong contrast, deep blacks and fast pixel response, especially beneficial in dark scenes and fast-paced titles. But as with most OLED displays, long-term burn-in management will depend on software safeguards in place.
The core addition is Smart Game Art, powered by BenQ’s Colour Shuttle system. This is positioned as the industry’s first game-aware colour optimisation engine. It is trained on a proprietary AAA Game Art Colour Database, and the system includes more than 120 curated colour profiles that automatically adjust tone, contrast and saturation based on a game’s visual style. For users, this removes the need for manual calibration while aiming to keep visuals aligned with the developer’s artistic direction.
BenQ also introduces Spectral Color Refinement, which focuses on smoother tonal gradation and finer texture detail. This, combined with pixel-level contrast control, is designed to improve depth perception in varied environments, from brightly lit open worlds to shadow-heavy indoor scenes.
Overall, the BenQ Mobiuz EX271UZ positions itself less as a conventional gaming monitor and more as a display for players who see games as visual experiences.
