If you’ve ever wanted to make a bit of extra cash by just performing simple tasks on your smartphone? Well, we’ve got some good news for you guys as Google has now introduced ‘Task Mate’ in India as a trial. As you complete various tasks on Task Mate, you will be rewarded with a bit of cash. Activities like recording a spoken sentence, transcription of various sentences etc should be expected. Remember that you will have a time-frame to complete these tasks.

First spotted on Reddit, these tasks will be divided into two different sections, sitting or field tasks. We assume sitting tasks will require you to be in front of a computer, either at home or an office while field tasks will require the user to go outside to complete said task. Do note that the app is still in beta mode and there will be referral codes needed to join the service.

Also, these tasks can be complete from anywhere in the world so you could ideally start a task in India and even finish it abroad. You can also skip the tasks that you may not want to do and move on to something more of your tastes and liking. This essentially gives users the flexibility and freedom to choose their own tasks. Remember that you need a referral code to access the service so do not download the app if you do not have a referral code.

In other Google news, the company is shutting down Google Play Music and shifting the service over to Youtube Music. You can read more that here. Google Photos will also no longer allow unlimited photo storage at high-quality from June 1, 2021. You can read more about that here
