Nothing teases RCB collaboration with cryptic WIP post: A phone, earphones or something else?

Nothing appears to have something in the works with Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The brand’s official India Instagram account posted an image of the RCB lion crest embossed on a deep crimson red background, with a single caption: “WIP.” The post was shared as a collaboration between the nothingindia and royalchallengers.bengaluru accounts and has already racked up over 500,000 likes at the time of writing.

The caption “WIP” is about as explicit a confirmation as Nothing could give without actually announcing anything. The post reveals nothing about what the collaboration might produce, but given Nothing’s product portfolio, the candidates are obvious: a limited edition Phone (4a) variant, a pair of Ear or Ear (a) earphones, or possibly a set of Headphone (1) units, all dressed in RCB’s signature red and black.

The teaser is not entirely out of nowhere. At the launch of Nothing’s Bengaluru flagship store, Digit spoke with co-founder and president Akis Evangelidis, who hinted at the possibility of limited edition products tied to the RCB partnership. “That could be cool eventually to do some limited editions,” he said, with a smile that suggested it was more than just a hypothetical. Evangelidis has also spoken about Nothing’s Community Edition series, where fans contribute ideas for hardware, software and even packaging, and about the brand’s broader openness to cross-industry collaborations, pointing to the Gully Labs collaboration footwear on display in the Bengaluru store as an example.

Nothing has been the title sponsor of Royal Challengers Bengaluru during the 2026 IPL season. The team went on to win their second consecutive IPL title, having won back-to-back championships in 2025 and 2026, making them only the third franchise in the tournament’s history to achieve that feat. A celebratory limited edition release would fit the moment perfectly.

Nothing has not confirmed any details, but we expect more cryptic teasers to follow before something is officially announced.
