The Watch GT runs on Huawei’s LightOS and features a 1.39-inch AMOLED display. The Band 3 Pro is equipped with a 0.95 inch AMOLED touchscreen display and comes with built-in GPS.
Huawei Mate 20 Series of smartphones are official and at the event, the company also announced the Huawei Watch GT and Band 3 Pro wearables. The company has chosen to not run the new Watch GT on WearOS and used its own LightOS, which is also used in Huawei’s other fitness trackers. The new smartwatch sports a conventional design with a dual crown and its key highlight is the battery life. The Band 3 Pro is a refreshed fitness tracker that features built-in GPS and comes equipped with an AMOLED touchscreen display.
Huawei Watch GT Specifications
The Huawei Watch GT runs on the Cortex-M4 chipset that comes with low power and high power cores. As mentioned earlier, the device runs on the company’s own LightOS and claims to deliver a two-week battery life with heart-rate monitoring turned. The battery life is extendable to 30 days when the watch is used only to receive notifications, while the rest of the functions are off. When going all out with continuous exercise tracking, Heart-rate monitoring and GPS, the Watch GT is said to last for 22 hours.
The Huawei Watch GT comes in Sport and Classic variants and both are built using 316L stainless steel with ceramic bezels. Both smartwatcches are rated 5ATM water resistant and feature a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 454x454px resolution. They use Huawei TruSeen 3.0 heart rate monitoring technology, which, in tandem with the six LEDs on its bottom, is said to measure accurate heart rate by using a self-learning algorithm. There’s also the Huawei TruSleep 2.0 feature that is said to identify common sleep-related issues and provide more than 200 potential suggestions to help the user sleep better.
Huawei Band 3 Pro Specifications
The Huawei Band 3 Pro features the same form factor as its predecessor, the Band 2. It features a 0.95 inch AMOLED touchscreen 2.5D display and a metal frame. It uses the same Huawei TruSeen 3.0 technology but two IR sensors and AI to deliver precise heart rate readings. Its built-in GPS is said to consume low power and deliver up to 7 hours of continuous location tracking. Huawei says that it will also provide real-time evaluation of training effects, including VO2 max and recovery times. The Band 3 Pro is also Waterproof up to 50 meters and is said to last for 20 day with normal usage.
