We are halfway through December and for tech enthusiasts that only means one thing – gearing up for CES that is held in January each year. Rumours have started coming in, brands have started teasing new launches and social media is flooded with expectations and discussions. Asus too recently hopped on the bandwagon and shared a teaser of its upcoming laptop – the Zenbook Duo. The device will be launched at CES 2026 which is scheduled to begin on January 6 in Las Vegas, USA. In the short teaser video shared on X, Asus gives a glimpse of what the laptop has in store. Asus teases new Zenbook Duo launch
Sharing the 22-second long video, Asus wrote, “A new chapter is unfolding. Are you ready to witness the future of #ASUS Zenbook DUO? Witness the #AlwaysIncredible reveal on January 6, 9.00 a.m. (PST) during our ASUS #CES2026 Livestream. Visit our CES event site!”

What to expect from Zenbook Duo
The teaser talks about two things primarily – durability and refinement. Asus appears to have reworked the hinge mechanism that connects the two displays, suggesting a stronger and more reliable design than before. This is a crucial area for any dual screen laptop, and it looks like Asus wants to address long term wear and stability head on. The displays themselves also seem to feature slimmer bezels, hinting at a more seamless visual experience when both screens are used together.
There are also signs of usability upgrades. The teaser briefly shows a redesigned keyboard accessory, which now appears to feature a larger trackpad and slightly recessed keys. For a laptop that often relies on detachable input accessories, these changes could make day to day use feel more comfortable. Port placement also seems to have been rearranged, although Asus has not shared exact details yet.
One of the more interesting changes teased is a shift to a dual battery setup. The current Zenbook Duo OLED already packs a sizeable battery, but running two displays can be demanding. A dual battery configuration could help improve endurance and balance power delivery more efficiently. Asus has not confirmed the total battery capacity, but this move clearly points towards better real world battery life.
On the performance front, the Zenbook Duo 2026 is expected to make the jump to Intel’s upcoming Panther Lake platform. The current model runs on Intel’s Arrow Lake chips, so a generational upgrade should bring gains in both efficiency and performance.
